About the Sacred Heart Alliance

The Sacred Heart Alliance is an apostolate to bring devotion to the Sacred Heart to all Australians. We also promote Catholic devotions, uphold family values, and defend good customs and morals in society.

Our Vision

The Sacred Heart devotion makes us aware of and reminds us of Christ’s immense love for us. It also encourages us to love Him in return.

We know that God created us and Christ shed all his blood for us, resides in our Tabernacles, and even allows the faithful to consume Him in the Holy Eucharist. We also know that Christ loves each of us personally and wants us to love Him in return – in fact, He made this His first commandment: “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment” (Our Lord Jesus Christ, Mt. 22:37-38). Clearly, the Sacred Heart Devotion helps us fulfill our obligation. As Pope Pius XII has stated…

“There is no doubt that Christians in paying homage to the Sacred Heart of the Redeemer are fulfilling a serious part of their obligations in their service of God and, at the same time, they are surrendering themselves to their Creator and Redeemer with regard to both the affections of the heart and the external activities of their life; in this way, they are obeying that divine commandment: ‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind, and with thy whole Strength.’ Besides, they have the firm conviction that they are moved to honor God not primarily for their own advantage in what concerns soul and body in this life and in the next, but for the sake of God’s goodness they strive to render Him their homage, to give Him back love for love, to adore Him and offer Him due thanks.” (Pope Pius XII, “Haurietis Aquas”, 1956)

Our Mission

We are dedicated to spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart throughout Australia.

Our Apostolate
  • Publishing and distributing devotional pamphlets, books and multi-media resources.
  • Speakers at conferences, prayer meetings, parishes, schools, and private groups.
  • Street Evangelism sees our young volunteers distributing leaflets and speaking to passers-by on the streets of our towns and cities.
  • Personal sanctification – for it is only by becoming holy that we will have the power to change the world!
  • Consecration to the Sacred Heart.
